INSURANCE

Our insurance secretaries will be happy to assist you with your insurance claims. If you have any questions regarding your insurance, please feel free to call our office and ask to speak to one of them. Remember, the responsibility for payment of your bill lies with you. Your insurance must be negotiated between you and your insurance company. We ask that you sign a standard authorization so that your claims can be processed by our computer. IT IS OUR POLICY, PARTICULARLY WITH CHARGES IN THE OFFICE THAT YOUR BILL BE PAID AT THE TIME OF SERVICE. We ask that you submit these charges by attaching a copy of your receipt to your insurance claim form, filling out your part of the form and forwarding it to your insurance carrier. Charges for surgery and hospital visits are generally filed within two weeks from the date you are discharged from the hospital. If this time period is exceeded, it is generally due to a delay in getting properly signed authorizations or patient information. The more quickly you respond to inquiries from our insurance secretaries, the sooner your forms will be processed. Unless we have an address for your insurance company, we cannot process an insurance claim form for you. We ask that you bring all of your current insurance information with you each time you come to our office.
